This trip had been a dream come true for me. After 7 long years of saying "I want to go Japan. I want to go Japan! I want to take a plane. I want to go Japan!!!", it finally happened. A lot my classmate told me I was lucky that I can go oversea with no parents around, and for 2 weeks. However, going ahead with this trip wasn't easy mainly because of financial problem. I didn't have any winter wear and didn't have the money to buy them so I had to borrow them. So glad that I've so many friends around to help with out.

Just like all other fulfilled dream, the fact that I went to Japan, was in Japan, feels very unreal.

I'm really grateful to have know AWAVE. There are so many wonderful individuals in AWAVE and  there are so many things I can learn from everyone. I'm still trying to change my mindset but even then, during this trip, my ugly side keep showing out. Sorry for my selfishness and thank you for tolerating with it and all my other nonsense.

We have grow so close to each other to the extent that we make all the obscene sounding noise. Show our tummy to each other. Tell each other when we shit, why didn't we shit, how it looked like...okay, maybe a little too much detail. Maybe next time when we go Japan again, we'll be daring enough to go Onsen together.

Day -1: Hyperventilating
19December, Wednesday
Last minute panicking with AWAVE on what to bring/not to bring and only

sleep at 3am! In the end, forgot to bring body wash and had to borrow from Van throughout the trip.
Had to go to school at 10am for stats project. Lucky things were done fast and ended at 12! Did some last minute packing and used the computer, hoping that time will pass faster!! When to took a nap and woke up to my Sis telling me that Kim Kim messed up my luggage.
But the moment I stepped into the living room, my family started singing birthday song. felt so lost!! Ate birthday cake before going for dinner at Pastamania.

My family was more ka-chiong-ing than me. Keep rushing me to get ready. Uncle even came 15minutes earlier to drive us to T1. Because of that, I reached super early and decided to go T2 and T3 while waiting for the rest of AWAVE to reach.

The Loo Family

Emotion overload when I finally saw AWAVE, couldn't contain my excitement and happiness and went running towards them (as drama as it might sound, but I ended up making it quite violent). This Japan trip was like a opportunity for our family to meet each other and see what type of person their daughter have been going out with. Everyone's family was there and it felt like we were going therefor very long (okay, 13 days is quite long).

Group photo before entering departure hall
Haha, this kinda look like those photo taken when idols arrive

We were like some mad women, skipping when we entered the departure hall. Once everyone was inside the departure hall, we behaved like crazy idiots; jumping, laughing, and hugging each other.

This photo basically sums up everything
Plus a bonus blur effect at the side cause this guy tried to photobomb us

Day0: Arrival
20December, Thursday
Just a little before 12am strikes and 19Dec become 20Dec, Van and SS took me for  a walk in the departure hall. Didn't suspect anything cause it my first time taking plane and I wanted to walk around. But when the clock showed 00:00, we hugged under the clock (so romantic la) and they started wishing me happy birthday. The others at Coffee Bean called and wished me too. Went back to Awave and sudden they gave me a cake!

Perfect start to my 18th birthday!

My first plane ride was okay, it wasn't scary as I thought it was but I was so excited during the take off that I keep on holding to PS's hand. Too bad it was too dark to see anything. Reached Hong Kong and waited 3 hours for our transfer flight. We were like some weirdo waiting outside Disney Shop, chanting for it to open. Didn't buy anything, more like couldn't buy cause I didn't have an HKD with me :/

Flight-mates

 Airplane food

Awesome view from the plane

Didn't felt like I was in Japan after we landed...  My mind was just "omg, we are here, in Japan, but this feel so unreal". Only after boarding the train and seeing the scenery outside did it start coming in.  So happy to see J waiting for us at the arrival hall, and she was fliming us!!
With Jamie!

Took train to Asakusa and walk a long and cold walk to Sakura hostel. It was hell carrying the luggage out of the station since there was only straits, and lots of it. Lucky we got the spacy room, Room 301!

On the way to Asakusa from Haneda Airport.

Our daily meet-up spot with J.
Look at how near we're to Tokyo Sky Tree!

Finally found our hostel!!!
The path that we walked to and for everyday.

Went out for dinner at this Japanese-Chinese shop and walked around ROX, the mall at Asakusa. Bought the clothes that I want from Uniqolo and JUMP World LE DVD!

 Asaukusa

 Dinner: 温玉うまから丼 and 餃子
The don is ちょうまい and the Gyouza is probably the best I've eaten so far

Our favorite shop in ROX
Lots of shops were having sales but most of the items were still expensive D;
But look at the photos now made me regret not getting some stuff since I have quite some leftover yens.

Johnny's section in the CD store!
Every CD store that we went to had a section delicated to Johnnys' group

One annoying thing about winter is the statics your hair get. It is worst than your hair getting tangled. Luckily, Venna brought her leave-in hair conditional(?), it really work wonder; the must put on before leaving the hostel.
Wasn't used to the cold and my nose started dripping but I didn't felt it at all untill Li Hui told me about. She even helped me clean it off, so 優しい ^.^

Day1: Chinatown. Yokohama
21December, Friday
Woke up at 8am and went Family Mart to get breakfast. Met up with Erika and Nanko at Chinatown. The food there are overpriced, hahaha. But they all tasted very nice! Erika and Nanako even treat us to some food. Had my first ice cream in winter, Goma ice-cream!!

The Family Mart that we visited every morning to get breakfast

Origini

Ohmiya poster spotted in the train!
One cool factor: the hand-grill in Japan have different heights.

 At Chinatown!

 Black sesame Ice-cream
It was on promotion too! 2 for 300yen, I think?

Finally saw a Lawson but realized that there is no Origini which Ohno endross cause it is over le. Walked toward Yokohama and went passed a park where this Oji-san was feeding seagulls and offered to let us try feeding them. It was scary but exciting!

Took purikura before leaving Chinatown.
Very amazed but how fast and nice Erika and Nanako can design the pictures.
さすが日本人

Raft of ducks in the sea.
All the animals there was so fat and round!

 First bird feeding experience.
Decided that it was enough for me when this seagull flew from behind, over my head and grad the food even before I held it up.

Walked to the bridge where they shot HNA M5 but the ferry wheel was blocked by a cruise. So many Ikemens in Japan but 8/10 of them have a girl by their side D: Saw a ice staking ring! It looks so drama liked!

Ice-skating ring
This place looks so westernish.

Visited the Cup Noodles Museum where we create our own cup noddles cover and flavor! It was fun and, surprisingly, very inspiring and educational.

Display of the history of cup noodles.

 Learning point of the trip.
Tips to success by the founder of cup noodles.
The staff very nicely arranged out cup noodles for us when he realized that we wanted to take photo of it and waited patiently for us to finish despite the long queue behind us.
And every staff explained/ do their part with a smile on their face and up-lifting voice despite repeating the same words and actions for nth times.
Customer service in Japan: +100

My very own Cup noodles!
Should had made more cause it is so delicious.

5:30pm and it is so dark already

Walked back to the ice-staking ring place for the Christmas illusion and shopped around. A lot of couples were queueing up to take photo under the giant chirstmas tree and ring the bell. Christmas session in Japan=couples everywhere. All the Ikemens AND their girlfriend.

 CHRISTMAS FEELSSSSSS

Dinner was at a western restaurant and saw a bit of fireworks. Return back to hostel, and I didn't bath today XD Bathing in winter is a very tough thing to do.... the period when you just enter the shower and when you step out after showering...
Dinner: Baked rice and Strawberry parfait

With Nanako and Erika

Day2: JFC. Shibuya
22December, Saturday
Woke up at 8:30am by the sound of Van's plastic and perfume-spraying sound.
It was raining!!! Raining in winter=super coldx10 because it come with cold wind that slap your face.  Walked Van to Senoji Temple's entrance because she was meeting her friend. The walk there was hell, bloody cold. Feet and hands were frozen!! And the wind was so unforgiving! Van's friend was late by 30mins... Put heat-pack into my shoes but it was useless. The warness only last for a couple of minutes, then it'll get hot it warm place... It was hell waiting in the wet weather. After her friend came. We went to get food, Takoyaki balls!

 *drools*
てりたまTakoyaki balls
Nicest looking and best tasting Takoyaki balls

Went into a mall near Asakusa to eat it and shopped around. I think it is not common to eat inside shopping mall? A lot of Japanese were looking at us who were sitting there, eating our food. Finally see a J!NS shop! Ahh, regret not making a spec there!! Left to met J outside Burger King but she was late too. Apparently J whatsapped me that she'll be late but she was 1sec too late. Lost the hostel's wifi connection and didn't know about it. We resort to cuddling together with our umbrellas shielding the wind and singing to distract ourselves.
 J!NS shop

Corn soup from Burger King
It taste different from Singapore's, so much thicker

Headed to Shibuya. Saw lots of Arashi billboards! Ahhh. Went to Johnnys Family Club. So many people. I finally see how it looks like!! The location... Feels like some secret gathering place. Stayed there for quite long.

Whole row of Arashi billboards at Shibuya station

 JFC

Took Arashi Hitachi pamphlet from this electronic goods store at Shibuya. Went to Tsutaya and bought NEWS' World Quest and pre-order Arafes DVD.

Van met with us and we went to have dinner at McDonald. Went to Uniqolo after that and then back home. As usual, bathed, went down for wifi and supper.

Dinner: The McDonald tasted more healthy, the fries wasn't salty at all...andddd they don't have chilli!!!!!!! D:D:D:D:
Supper: Pudding from Family Mart and a cup of hot milo

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day3: TBS. Roppongi Hills. Kinshicho
23December, Sunday
WOKE UP LATE TODAY! Was suppose to wake up at 9 but we woke up at 930. Had to rush because we were meeting J at 1030. Had lunch before going to TBS, saw the Olympic corner and some tv show goods. Stayed there for quite long looking at people play this ball game.

TBS

Ice-skating ring outside TBS

 Lunch: 親子丼
Surprised that I was able to finish this meal with nothing left!
Goes to show how tatsy it is and the wonders that winter can do.
First try with 温かいそば and love it!

Walked to Roppongi hills but there was nothing much to do there cause its a rich people place.
 Roppogi Hills

This group of guys all dressed up for Christmas.
Haha, wished each other Merry Christmas.

Decided to go to the station where J stays. Spent our time in this 10 storey mall. Went into a comic store and saw a corner for BL Love and went crazy. There was even Kurobasu doujin!! Bought nail clipper from Daiso. And my new organizer from this damn cute shop. Went down to first level where there was sales on those Japanese clothes brand but it was still expensive.
BL corner in a Manga shop 0///0
They even sell doujinshi!

 McDonald Happy Meal toys!!!

I was very impressed by their cashier at Daiso.
The staff will put in the money given to them into the machine and it will automatically give out the change.

 Drip Drops sale *^*
But even with the sales, it is still expensive to me...

Had Dinner at Matsuya then went to wait for bus back to Asakusa. The bus was late for 45mins!!! But the bus ride was pleasant, especially when the driver said "Door to back" when we were alighting and wished us Merry Christmas.
Being a bus driver in Japan is not as easy as in Singapore. They've to talk constantly as they drive, informing commuters of the next stop, stopping at a traffic light, apologise for the long wait(how is it their fault? apologising for not beating the red light isit? ), moving after stopping at the traffic light, make turns, when someone press the bell, when they stop at a bus stop.
Food ordering machine which can be typically seen in Japan.
Basically you insert your money into the machine, select what food you want, any extra sides to go with it and then pass the ticket to the staff, return to your seat and wait for your food to arrive.

Dinner: Curry beef with egg

Got a bit lost while walking back to our hostel but we manage to catch a good view of sky tree and night view. Keep asking SS to help us ask for directions back to Asakusa.
The most memorable one will be where this initially-quite-fierce-looking-young couple pointed to two different directions. In the end we followed the boyfriend's direction and found our way back.
Had supper and bought a small cake to celebrate Aiba's birthday. Washed our laundry.
They have double-pricing for the puddings.
The grape flavor pudding is 20yen more than the orange flavor pudding
.....yeah grapes!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day4: Aiba's birthday! Senoji temple, Ikebokuro
24December, Monday
Finally went to the temple today to pray. Washed our hands in the cold water, drank it and let the gold wind dry our hand-result in freezing hands. Prayed, got small luck at first but when to get another one and got good luck. Bought some charms and went to get breakfast before meeting J.
 Sensoji Temple

 Breakfast: 鯛焼き
やっぱり authentic are the best!

Went to Ikebukuro, Sunshine Plaze. Namjatown was so interesting and cute. There was this place inside that sells Gyoza only,  soooo many different flavour of Gyoza inside!! Everyone bought different flavour and we shared.
 Gyoza Street

 Cheese Gyoza
Not a very appetizing photo of it cause it is like upside down

 NAMJA
We keep debating on the gender of the people in the mascot and concluded that both are guys.

The ice-cream shop that sells VERY weird flavours
There was Yakisoba, Wasabi, Beef meat, Crab meat etc.etc.etc. flavour ice-cream and they aren't cheap at all, they're more expensive then the "branded" ice-cream in Singapore.
We were all going "ewww, omg, what, why would they think of making that" while looking at it.

Erika and  Nanoko had to go after Namja Town. Although it will be nice spending longer time with them, I bet they'll be bored to death if they went with us to our next destination; Otome road.
It was heaven, one of the place I've always wanted to visit. It was truly a place for fangirls of JE and Anime/Manga. Spend 4hours digging for gold there while J wait for us at Starbucks(Initially told her we'll only take 2hours). Regret not buying some stuff, definitely won't hold back the next time I'm there! Had dinner and then went back to our hostel
Otomen road!!
Pardon my finger, it was too bright to see the screen of my camera and I was too excited to get over to the other side.

The infamous anime character bedsheets .
Price of the it vary according to the popularity of the character.
After seeing the price, I gave up my hope on the Vampire Knight's Kiryuu Zero bedsheet

Just us digging for gold in Mandarake.
Kinda sad that I couldn't find any KanamexZero doujin.

Staff at Mandarake cosplayed as Kagami from Kuroko no Basuke.
There was another staff who cosplayed Momoi.

Day5: Miyagawa Daisuke!!! NTV. Fuji TV. Christmas exchange. Shinbashi.
25December, Tuesday
Woke up at 830. Went to combini to buy breakfast, it all seems like a calm, normal day despite it being Christmas until.....

While we were walking to meet J, we saw cameras and filming happening.... and then I saw this very familiar guy....who I'm very sure I saw on Arashi show before.. IT WAS MIYAGAWA DAISUKE!!! Because we kept looking at him and debating about what we should do, and being a bunch of girls, he finally took notice of us. He asked what's our age (I think? haha, mind was in a mess when he talked and can't really remember) but we didn't catch what he said and asked SS in English what he said and he realized that we're foreigner. Told him we are from Singapore and he said he went there recently for shooting.(Yes, we knew! J was there with him.) Requested to take photo with him and he said Yes!!! Caused he took some time to reply and  I was so sure he was trying to think of how to reject us. "撮ろうぜ" Kyaaaaaaaaa. Hearto gyun gyun!! (Please pardon my madness). Can't believe we felt so high after seeing a comedian, imagine if we saw Arashi instead~!
Told by the staff that we might appear in whatever they're filming, but it is a show which will be broadcasted in Osaka so I doubt we'll ever know if it happened.
 撮ろうぜ

Waited for J for 30mins and was talking about Johnnys Jr and old HSJ/NEWS/K8. Went to NTV, and NTV shop, nothing much there. Didn't stay for long. Had Lunch before going to Fuji TV. It was aweeesome!!!
 NTV Shop

Lunch: ロースカッカレーやさい

Traveling to Fuji TV Station

There was Arashi drama pomotion poster all around! The VS Arashi game stall was there too, visitors can play Rolling Coin Tower but we didn't play because the waiting time was very very long. But we went in to see, sadly no photography allowed. The ball for Kicking Sniper was smaller than expected and the cans were very big.
 Fuji TV
Look at all the Arashi drama promotion posters!

Christmas present from Mango to me!

Went to Shinbashi and had dinner. Wanted to follow the Japanese tradition of eating KFC during Christmas but the wait was just too long. Walked into this random ramen shop. The ramen was so so delicious! Singapore ramen is like all maggie mee!! Anyway, when we were dinning, we were conversing in English and Chinese, and the staff heard us(well, they were right infront of us), and thanked us in Chinese when we were leaving the shop. Headed home. Talked and laughed till 2am

Day6: Johnnys' Shop. Harajuku. Meiji Shrine. Shibuya.
26December, Wednesday
Met J, Katsumi, Hiromi and Erika at Harajuku. Went to Johnnys shop. Waited in the cold and cold wind for 15~20min? Finally went in! Spent very long inside looking at the photos and thinking of what to get. So long that Katsumi, Kiromi and Erika got bored of waiting for us and went other place to walk around.
 With Katsumi, Erika and Hiromi

After we were done, we went to Harujuku street and had lunch at a western restaurant. The whole Takeshita street was filled with idols shop, so many that we didn't know which one to go into. Quite dizzy when we first entered one, there was poster pasted at EVERY possible space, from wall to stairs to ceiling.

Marketing scheme of shops at Harujuku
AMNOS-letterd accessories etc with each member's colour respectively

Lunch: Spaghetti with fried egg plant and bacon

 Crepe
I think I ordered Brownie ice cream with Mango?

Walked to Meiji shrine while we we were on the way to Shibuya. Went to collect our Arafes DVD then walk around Shibuya109. Dinner at a ramen shop. It was cheap and delicious! Fooled around in the hostel and did our letter to Aiba till 1.30.
 Meji Shrine

Okay, I find the toilet at the shrine damn cool
Where got toilet at shrine so clean and nice one!!!

Just us being crazy in our room after I noticed that Mango, Pei Shi, SS, and Li Hui was wearing black top and bottom. While Venna and I was wearing white v-neck top and black bottom. All this happened while Van was bathing XD
Poor girl was so confused when she returned and we asked her to help us take photo

Bento dinner from Family Mart because some of us busted our budget for the day, and we wanted to try it out

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day7: Chiba, Keikarou!!! J's house.
27December, Thursday
Woke up super early today at 730. Met J at her station at 8:45 and we went to Chiba, Keikarou! Yesssssss, finally!!! My dream of going to Aiba's family restaurant came true!
Breakfast: Melon pan
Yeah~ Finally get to try how Nino's favorite bread taste like.

 Traveling to Chiba

 The vast blue sky!

We were the 3rd batch in the queue. Reached at 940 but the shop will only open at 1130. Waited in the cold for 2hours with frozen feets. But the service was really good. They gave us chairs, blankets and took our orders when we were waiting outside.
The blanket and chairs provided.

Finally got to go in, the shop was filled with Aiba photo! It was heaven!!! Ahh~ first thing I saw was a popcorn machine! They serve popcorn before our meals arrive! Ate quite a lot. The food was nice but not the nicest. Love the mado tofu though. And especially our dessert, almond tofu!
How part of the restaurant looks like
Quite a small restaurant, there was 2 private room with more and nicer looking Aiba fangifts
Behind the cashier was this flight of stairs and beside it was the kitchen, peeked inside and tried to spot Aiba's dad and brother.

Signature boards of Aiba and Arashi

After the meal, when we were making payment, I passed our message card to Aiba-mama and she said she'll pass it to "相葉ちゃん". I mentally squeal and bounce in my mind and nearly explode on the spot okay. *engrave into brain*
*Keyboard smash* 2rjhw3ihr23oi8yr92yrwfe o53vum2e,0rq2wta293yrhwniebwe
After we exit the restaurant, SS and I just couldn't contain our happiness and started jumping and hugging each other on the spot. The other fangirls still queuing in the line was like wondering out loud about what happened
Merchandises that they sell at Keikarou.
Didn't get any because, well, Aiba's face isn't on it XD

Our messages to Aiba where I basically told Aiba that I love him and his positive attitude, and will continue to support him from Singapore

Me and my fellow Aiba-taitai, SS being extermly happy after talking to Aiba-san, our "mother-in-law"

Went to J's house after that, watched Music station and other videos that J had recorded before starting on Arafes! Paused the video halfway and went to get dinner at combini.
If only I can buy back the Oishii Gyuunyu and Gari Gari-kun

 Valina Milkshake
The small is really small

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day8: Stay-home and Take-away day

Recuperation day. Cause Li Hui fall sick, we decided to stay in today. Slept till nearly 11 then went out to get lunch. Got distracted by arcade and took purikura when we were suppose to get lunch. Went back, eat, use Internet, sleep till 630. Went out to get dinner and same cycle repeat. Wanted to play at the arcade again when we were getting dinner but the underage people can't enter after 6:30....

 Akihabara
RELAX

There was a window in the room. Brightest karaoke room I had been to.
The room is quite cool la, there was mini cupboard next to the TV where we can hang our coats.

Batsu Game 1: One of the Takoyaki ball is suppose to be very very spicy. I got that one but it wasn't spicy at all, not a single bit

Batsu Game 2: Green juice (a drink that is good for your health but doesn't tatse nice)
We're suppose to take turn and put the pearl into the green juice and the person who spilled it will have to drink the green juice

Day10: Shibuya. NHK. Nakano broadway.
30December, Sunday
Met J and her friend (Stella) at Shibuya, Tsutaya. Walked to NHK studio park. J, Stella, Li Hui and I had to pay for our entrance fee because we're of 18 and above D:
There was this station where they let us watch 3D performance from TV which were pretty nauseous after awhile. Then there was this machine that explain to us how they create certain BGM and show us how the use of different BGM can change the mood of a video.
Kohaku promotion poster at NHK Studio park

Nakano broadway was another heaven!!! All the goods there!! It was like Otomen road part 2, and bigger! Spent like 3~4hours there for only 2 storeys. Had to stop ourselves from going up some more because we were ding from hunger. Okomiyaki for dinner!

It was feasting time!! J prepared Sushi, Sukiyaki, and Yakiniku for us. Ate as we watch Kouhaku and JCD on TV. Everything was soooo delicious! The Sushi was fresh, the top layer of beef meat were the best! And the Sukiyaki~! Why Singapore's eggs not fresh!!!
 FOOODDD
Best meal of this trip

Only reach Asakusa around 3am and found out that Asakusa was very lively!! There was still some shops open and all the stalls at Senoji temple were open! The other day when we went to the temple to pray, I was wondering why're the stalls not set up. So happy to see it! Always wanted to go for a Matsuri in Japan! Thought that I won't have a chance cause it is winter! Felt so awake basking in the lively festive mood!
New Year Festival at Sensoji Temple

Was so indulged in the New Year mood that we stayed awake till 7:30 to watch the first sunrise.

2 Janurary, Wednesday
Did the last walk around Asakusa area. Went to ROX and bought my craftholic toy.
  Maru

There was still a lot of people at Asakusa since there is the Senoji temple here. It was hell dragging our luggage through the crazy crowd and eventually we got separated but lucky, everyone manage to gather at the station and board the train in time.
Singapore ranked at 7 in Sakura Hostel
Haha, I think it is thanks to us? XD

 HUMAN, HUMANS EVERYWHERE
Just look at the crowd. Yup, we drag our luggageS through this crazy crowd

Last group photo at Haneda airport

Leaving Japan T_T

The ride back to Singapore was an emotion ride. Our flight to Hong Kong resulted into a teary mess because of the gift that J gave us before we enter the departure hall. As embrassing as it can be, I actuatlly cried myself to sleep, but I think I was not the only one. Our stop at Hong Kong was yet another crying fest when we pieced our puzzle pieces together to read the whole message from J. I basically slept throughout the flight from Hong Kong to Singapore and even miss the meal, my ice-cream!!! D;

Send this picture to J after we read her message to us.

When we reach Singapore the next day, I shared a cab with Li Hui and her family. Went home, napped for a while, bath and headed to school for the sake of AFA attandance only. Attended the 1 hour tutorial, passed Rina her goods then back home and to lalaland I went.
Flight back to Singapore.
